CHIP’d Golf is a smart putting ball system powered by IntelliCore™, our patented embedded sensor technology. Paired with the CHIP’d Golf mobile app, it captures real-time ball motion and transforms it into putting performance data including launch, speed, roll, distance, and putt outcome.

Most putting aids provide visual feedback or use external cameras, radar, mats, or sensors. CHIP’d measures the ball itself. IntelliCore™ is embedded inside the golf ball, allowing CHIP’d Golf to capture the ball’s motion directly while you practice naturally.

Anywhere you can roll a putt. CHIP’d Golf can be used on putting mats, smooth carpet, indoor greens, and outdoor practice greens. No special mat, camera, or launch monitor is required. A regulation-depth hole is required for automated make, miss, and lip-out detection; other putting data can be captured without a hole. For the current version of the apps, an internet connection is required.

Each smart ball provides approximately 20 hours of active putting time under normal use, giving a three-ball set approximately 60+ hours of active practice. Actual battery life varies based on usage and storage conditions.

The CHIP’d Golf app includes access to core functionality, with additional premium features and training experiences available through the CHIP’d platform. Final plan details and available features are presented within the app.

No. The current CHIP’d Golf product is designed specifically for putting. Full-swing or high-velocity strikes are outside the intended use of the product and may damage the electronics and void the warranty.

Our first production release has been fulfilled to CHIP’d Early Adopters. Orders placed now will be allocated to our next production release, currently estimated to ship in October 2026. Orders will be fulfilled in the order they are received.

CHIP’d Golf is not a conventional golf ball. Every ball contains our IntelliCore™ electronics and goes through specialized manufacturing, assembly, testing, and quality-control processes. During our initial launch period, we are producing CHIP’d Golf in scheduled releases so we can maintain the quality and performance standards required for every ball.

October 2026 is our current estimated shipping window for the next production release. Hardware production schedules can change, and we’ll communicate any material change to customers by email.

CHIP'd Golf is engineered to regulation size, weight, and construction parameters, but it is not USGA-approved, and it does not need to be. CHIP'd Golf is a practice and training ball, designed exclusively for putting. Full-swing or high-velocity strikes can damage the electronics, will void the warranty, and are not what the ball is built for.

These are examples rather than a complete list. Many other phones are supported, provided they are running the required operating-system version and support Bluetooth Low Energy.

For the best connection reliability and overall experience, we recommend using a phone released within the last five years and keeping its operating system up to date.
