CHIP’d Golf Wins Pinnacle Award at the 2026 PGA Show 1028 578 CHIP'd

CHIP’d receives the Pinnacle Award at the 2026 PGA Show, recognizing the company’s smart golf ball technology and innovation in connected golf equipment.

ORLANDO, Fla. — CHIP’d Golf has received the Pinnacle Award at the 2026 PGA Show, marking a significant milestone for the company as it prepares to bring its first commercial product to golfers.

The award was presented as part of the Inventors Spotlight within the PGA Show Innovation District, where emerging products and technologies from across the golf industry were showcased throughout the week.

Organized in partnership with the United Inventors Association (UIA), the Inventors Spotlight featured nearly 50 exhibitors, with awards recognizing standout products across several categories. CHIP’d received the Pinnacle Award, the program’s top honor recognizing overall excellence and forward-thinking design.

Introducing CHIP’d Golf to the Golf Industry

The 2026 PGA Show provided CHIP’d with an opportunity to demonstrate its smart golf ball technology to PGA Professionals, coaches, media, industry executives and other attendees from around the world.

CHIP’d Golf uses patented IntelliCore™ technology embedded directly inside a putting-specific golf ball to capture detailed information about the movement and performance of every putt.

The ball communicates wirelessly with the CHIP’d Golf mobile app, allowing golfers to measure performance data including launch speed and direction, spin, skid, true roll, distance and putt outcome.

Receiving the Pinnacle Award during the product’s introduction to the broader golf industry provided important recognition for the years of engineering and development required to bring the technology to this stage.

“Winning the Pinnacle Award was an incredible way to finish our first PGA Show,” said Josh Marris, co-founder and CEO of CHIP’d. “We have spent years solving some extremely difficult engineering challenges to put technology inside a golf ball without fundamentally changing what a golfer expects from the ball. To receive this recognition from the industry as we prepare to put CHIP’d Golf into customers’ hands is something our entire team is extremely proud of.”

A Milestone Years in the Making

CHIP’d was founded around an ambitious idea: make the equipment itself intelligent.

Creating a golf ball capable of capturing and communicating meaningful performance data required the development of specialized electronics, sensors, wireless communications and manufacturing processes capable of operating from inside the ball.

The resulting IntelliCore platform sits at the center of CHIP’d Golf, capturing the movement of the ball itself rather than relying exclusively on external tracking equipment.

The Pinnacle Award represents an important milestone in that journey and recognition of the innovation behind CHIP’d as the company moves toward commercial launch.

“This is still just the beginning for us,” Marris said. “Our focus now is getting CHIP’d Golf into the hands of golfers and giving them an entirely new way to understand what is happening every time they hit a putt.”
